Beasley Guest Artists Teach Students the Art of Improv

This week, Ed Reggi & Company visited the Lower School to perform during assembly for the Beasley students. Specifically, he and his crew focused on improvisation in art, comedy and storytelling.

Using students’ suggestions, school themes or curriculum connections, Reggi and two ensemble members of Paper Slip Theatre created a fully improvised play for the students. In addition to watching the play unfold before their eyes, students participated by giving suggestions and portraying objects, characters and even scenery as they experienced the fully interactive theater.

The talented members of this troupe gave the Beasley audience a performance that was pure improvisation while reinforcing conflict resolution, teamwork, good listening skills and curricular topics. It was fun for everyone!
