MICDS Welcomes Hundreds of Families at Open House

Our annual admission Open House fell on a gorgeous fall day this year. Last Saturday, faculty, staff, students and parent volunteers welcomed guests from all over the greater St. Louis area to visit our School and learn more about what makes MICDS so special. Prospective families heard from Head of School Jay Rainey, divisional heads, teachers and students who joyfully shared their passion for education and our community.

Children participated in hands-on programming around the Upper School while their parents heard from a variety of speakers. After, guests were free to walk around the School, speak with current parents and student Rambassadors or visit our curricular fair in the McDonnell Gymnasium, where they learned about departmental studies and student activities. Our strings musicians gathered on Founders Court to serenade the crowd, while our jazz band kept things lively inside Brauer Auditorium.

We thank all of our enthusiastic parent and student volunteers for taking time to share their MICDS experience with others, and the families who encouraged their friends and relatives to visit campus through personal referrals, yard signs, social media posts and more.

It’s not too late to check out MICDS! Schedule a visit or tour to learn more about the ways your child will embark on a life of discovery at MICDS.
