May Day Postponement to Sunday

May Day Postponed to 5/4

In view of the latest forecasts predicting a higher probability of inclement weather tomorrow than the day after, MICDS is postponing this year’s May Day ceremony to Sunday, May 4. We will communicate with you again no later than 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, to share further information about the time and plan for Sunday afternoon's ceremony. We value the May Day tradition at MICDS and regret the uncertainty of this weekend’s weather and any inconvenience it may cause. We appreciate your understanding as we make every effort to hold the ceremony under safe and enjoyable conditions.

Strong Effort Against Burroughs at the Historic Saint Louis Country Club

After a 30 minute delay due to storms in the area play got underway at the picturesque Saint Louis Country Club. The ladies were blessed with a magnificent rainbow as the rain subsided. But, it wasn’t all rainbows and unicorns, as the Bombers literally one-upped the Rams with a 168-167 victory. The rolling greens and abundance of bunkers at SLCC made for some really interesting putts, bunker shots and course management decisions. Congratulations to Maddie Goldberg, who was the medalist of the day with a 54. Erin Halligan (55) was only one shot off Maddie’s pace. In our second group, also separated by only one stroke, were Elena Thomas (59) and Taylor Turnell (60).

What a treat it was to play such a historic and challenging course. Thank you to Coach Johnston for making it happen. Also, a big thank you to all of the spectators that came out to root for our Lady Rams! Next up, Incarnate Word. You know what that means, bad news for Incarnate Word.
