On Tuesday, Owen Kizer ’26 was featured in an article by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, which focused on his goals for the tennis season and the recent tournament he’s playing in. Faculty Feature: Upper School History Teacher and Learning Specialist Elected in Local Government

Congratulations to our Upper School Learning Specialist and Director of Eliot Summer Academy, Sam Cummins, who was elected to serve on the New Melle City Board of Aldermen. He’s part of the Board of Adjustment, which acts as a “relief valve” for zoning regulations, hearing appeals from residents regarding zoning code interpretations and granting variances due to unique property hardships. They meet on an as-needed basis to ensure public safety and justice.

Additionally, in the St. Charles County General Municipal Election on April 7, 2026, our very own Dr. Tanya Roth, Upper School History Teacher, was elected to the Fort Zumwalt School Board. As such, Dr. Roth will be helping develop policies, set district goals, and oversee the superintendent to ensure educational excellence and safety.

Congratulations, Mr. Cummins and Dr. Roth!
