Téa Mitchell

Junior Completes Saturday Academy through UMSL Bridge Program

Téa Mitchell ’21 was honored at the UMSL Bridge Program’s 34th Award Ceremony Breakfast over the weekend. She was recognized for successfully completing the rigorous coursework of the Saturday Academy. The awards ceremony included a formal breakfast at The America’s Center Convention Complex with a keynote by Ms. Khalia Collier, Owner and General Manager of the St. Louis Surge, a Women’s Professional Basketball Team.

She shared, “Though the UMSL Bridge Program included waking up at 6 a.m. on two Saturdays out of the month, it was a rewarding experience that afforded me many opportunities in regards to my future. I not only created new friendships with people from schools across St. Louis, but I was able to form relationships with teachers and better build my knowledge for the ACT and my college career!”

Congratulations, Téa!
