The MICDS 8th Grade A Girls’ Basketball Team placed third overall in the recent St. Clement Basketball Tournament. As part of that tournament, St. Clement also hosts a three-point shooting contest. Each team submits a three-point shooter to represent their team. Throughout the tournament, during halftime of the games, the shooter shoots as many three pointers as he/she can within a minute and a half. The winners advance to the next round. Our very own Kayla Work ’18 won the entire contest, defeating players from 16 teams. Her highest score was 14 baskets, which was a new tournament record.
